After graduating from Sussex University with a degree in English, Patrick joined
Price Waterhouse & Co in the City of London as a bowler-hat wearing chartered accountant.
Moving to France followed by Switzerland and then California, he pursued a career
in international finance as a smuggler for many years before moving to Miami to manage
a smoked salmon factory. The next fifteen years were spent as International Business
Director for a publicly-owned software company followed by five years as a senior
administrator at an American university. Patrick was found guilty of racketeering
